Primus Inks Deal to Maintain and Upgrade MPLS Network for Keller Australia

Primus Telecom, an M2 Telecommunications Group’s subsidiary, has recently inked a two year deal with Keller Australia, a ground engineering services provider. The deal will enable Primus Telecom to maintain and upgrade Keller’s operations in Australia including its MPLS network. The agreement will also bring a new HD video conferencing system to Keller Australia.

The newly signed agreement will extend the company’s already established multi year relationship in which Primus has solely managed the national multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) network for Keller’s 17 sites across Australia. Keller will now have integrated data and video traffic into a single common platform.

According to the Keller Australia Communications Specialist, Thomas McKnight, “We are confident that our new national HD video conferencing system will deliver real savings to both our bottom line and time spent, enabling us to devote more resources to growing our Australian business.” Currently, Keller has access of up to 10Mbps both in its head office and regional offices. The head office is built on Metro Ethernet technology while the regional offices are connected to Primus Telecom equipment with support around the clock.

Keller delivers solutions to its clients that help solve ground engineering challenges on time, on budget and  in an ultra safe manner. Its full spectrum of clients range from industrial, commercial and environmental to mining and infrastructure industries across Australia and neighboring countries. Keller combines local knowledge with international and is behind many of the ground engineering techniques used widely in the construction industry today.

The Primus Ethernet over Fiber (EoF) deploys high speed networks in metropolitan areas with 99.95 percent network availability. Primus speeds start from as low as four Mbps with 10 Mbps being the most cost-effective. There are also alternative solutions where speeds below 10 Mbps are required.

With the Primus Ethernet in place, which is a highly flexible and reliable high speed solution, Keller will be in a position to offer its engineering excellence to the masses and be able to commit to continual innovation.
