MPLS Provider Heading South for the Winter, Right in Time for ITEXPO Miami 2013
As temperatures drop to record lows here on the East Coast, many people are packing their bags in a hurry in order to travel to a much warmer climate, whether it is to a remote location somewhere in the middle of the Caribbean or within North America like, say, Miami, Fla. And what could be better than a glistening tan intermixed with some invaluable technology-based seminars in addition to an event that will enable attendees to talk to thought leaders about increasing popular trends in the industry? In my opinion as well as many others, nothing could beat feeling the sun while simultaneously learning about new technological innovations including MPLS and that is why ITEXPO (News - Alert) Miami 2013 is garnering a whole lot of buzz.
Taking place from January 29-Febuary 1 in the Miami Convention Center in Miami, Fla., the not-to-miss event is touted as the bringing together the entire community of communications and technology buyers, sellers, resellers, and manufacturers that will enhance old relationships, form new ones and even close deals. One company that realizes the sheer vitality of being present at ITEXPO Miami is MPLS provider UNSi.
Founded in 2001 as American Broadband and changing its name to United Network Services, Inc. (UNSi) back in 2011, the company provides a variety of carrier services ranging from MPLS, Ethernet and DIA to VPLS and broadband as well as a robust suite of managed services. Exhibiting at the show in booths #923 and #925, UNSi is guaranteed to ramp up the level of excitement in the hall through showcasing its innovative solutions.
While I will leave exactly what will be displayed as a mystery, something that could be demonstrated is its MPLS Exchange Platform. After acquiring IPNetzone a few years back and ultimately taking ownership of the firm’s global MPLS Exchange platform, which is comprised of multiple interconnection points that when seamlessly integrated can successfully power a MPLS network across various carriers, UNSi is now able to deliver “fast and seamless connectivity to global markets and facilities that have traditionally been costly or difficult to manage. Also, it can add end-to-end quality of service (QoS) and committed information fate (CIR) which can be policed throughout the core and down to the customer premise,” the website revealed.
An interesting side note is that the MPLS provider took home the Best of Show award for its same IP failover Product at last year’s ITEXPO Austin 2012.
“The breadth of products and solutions that were showcased in this year’s ITEXPO Austin Exhibit Hall have raised the bar in terms of innovation and quality within the communications and technology industries,” said Rich Tehrani (News - Alert), TMC CEO and conference chairman, in a statement. “We’re pleased to honor the Best of Show Award winners, and we congratulate them for differentiating themselves in various technology categories amongst a large and highly competitive field.”
Same IP Failover (SIF) is a next generation back-up solution that assists a business in automatically transferring over to a different Internet connection if the original connection fails to work for a variety of reasons. While doing this, it keeps the exact same inbound IP addresses intact.
While you have to wait until next week to see exactly what tricks UNSi has up its sleeve, one thing you can be certain of is that the organization will be bringing it’s “A game” or should I say “MPLS game” to the table and could possibly even bring some home some awards.
